Start of 2007 VSSA coaching
This Saturday 19 th May, the VSSA coaching program begins at Black Rock (10.00am) for Gold and Silver Groups. The coaching will continue in the afternoon during the club racing which starts at 1.30 pm (non members of BRYC will need to pay an additional visitors fee of $5 to participate in the race). Micah Shuwalow will supervise the coaching and our head coach Glenn Collings will observe and assess individual sailors during the afternoon race. Currently we have 8-10 registrants in each of the Gold and Silver groups. If you have not yet registered, please contact Andy O'Connell (0419509421) so that we can organise appropriate coaches, ducks, etc.
Coaching enrolment and Medical forms will need to be presented along with Semester 1 payments on the day of sailing. All payments ($320) should be by cheque made out to ‘VSSA' with the name of the child written on the back please.
Please also bring your silver YV member card and a copy of your sabot insurance.
Enrolment and Medical forms are available from the sabot website for download (links below). Alternatively, we will have copies at BRYC on Saturday morning. Various documents are here: http://vicsabot.yachting.org.au/default.asp?Page=17840
Home for a Duck
The VSSA duck desperately needs a new home. We are looking for a parent with enough spare space to securely store the Duck during the week, and ideally, able to bring the duck to the coaching venue each session. Anyone who thinks they may be able to help in some way, please contact me ASAP.
Looking forward to seeing everyone on Saturday at the Rock,
Mario Kalpokas
President VSSA
