Sail Sandy and Nationals Selection
Nationals selection is fast approaching with Sail Sandy on the weekend of 20/21 st October. Please note that to compete in the selection series, you must complete an Entry form for Sail Sandy, and you MUST be a currently financial member of the VSSA.  Non-members will not be eligible for selection regardless of their performance at Sail Sandy.Membership forms are downloadable from the www.vicsabot.yachting.org.au website or follow this link: VSSA Membership
At the Sandy selection series, there will be a form posted on the noticeboard for competitors to enter their name if they intend to travel to Vaucluse in December for the Nationals competition.  Clearly, if you will NOT be able to compete in the Nationals for whatever reason, please do not put your name down on this list. Please discuss this with your parents before Sail Sandy.
The Senior Nationals Team will consist of the top 9 senior sailors from Sail Sandy as well as 3 sailors chosen at the discretiion of the VSSA Committee. This is to ensure that the top 12 sailors are in the team to represent Victoria despite any gear breakages, illness, or other unforseen circumstances during the selection series.
For the Junior Victorian Team of upto 6 boats (2-ups), selection will be based on performance and results at Sail Sandy (and at the George MacCallum Cup held at RBYC over the 17/18th November if necessary).
Final Team notification will occur no later than Sunday 18th November at the completion of the George MacCallum Cup.
Springsail
Planning for Springsail (held at Mordialloc SC over the Melbourne Cup weekend), is well advanced.  There are still many people who have not returned an Entry Form and even fewer parents have volunteered to help over the weekend. Entries after 19th October, will be be subject to a late entry fee of $20 so please download the Entry Form and send off your entry NOW.  Late entries make catering and organisation far more difficult for this great event.
