Sabot sailors,
It is that time of week again when I remind you of the 2006 Irwin Sails Victorian Sabot Championships to be held at Royal Brighton YC this weekend and the next. Most entries are now in, but I know there are still a few stragglers out there. For those of you who have just purchased a boat or are still novices, this is the perfect opportunity to test out your skills and determine what you need to know before Christmas. I also know there are a few people still looking for charters – if so, give me a call and I’ll try to match you up.
- I hope you have been keeping up with the amendments to the NOR – the first was posted a little while ago and addresses the Schedule – minor changes to timings.
- I have today received a second amendment to the NOR regarding the Junior Two-Up division which has received insufficient entries to race as a separate division – both amendments can be viewed from the link below.
The next two weekends are big ones for the class locally, both on the water, and as an opportunity to build on existing and create new friendships. Don’t forget the BBQ to be held on Saturday evening after racing – hope you can all make it. Let’s keep our fingers crossed with the weather – someone told me today we should rename it the Commonwealth Sabot Champ’s if we wanted good weather on tap!
Lots going on in Melbourne as usual – as I sit here writing this I can hear the whine of car engines from the Grand Prix track…..
If you have any queries as usual please give me a call on 0417-832000
Yours in sailing
